Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Email List Validation ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use the Email List Validation platform and API (the "Service"). We act as a data controller for your account data, and as a data processor for the email lists you upload for verification (see our GDPR & DPA page).

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email, password (hashed), company, and billing details processed by our payment provider.
• Lists you submit: the email addresses (and any columns) you upload or send via the API for verification, and the verdicts we return.
• Usage data: log data, IP address, device/browser, API usage and timestamps, used to operate, secure and improve the Service.
• Cookies: essential cookies for authentication and session management; analytics cookies only where permitted.

2. How we use data

• To provide email verification and return results to you;
• To manage your account, process payments, and send service and transactional emails;
• To secure the Service, prevent abuse and fraud, and comply with legal obligations;
• To improve accuracy and performance. We do not sell your data or your uploaded lists, and we do not use the addresses you upload for our own marketing.

3. Sub‑processors

We share data only with vetted providers that help us run the Service, under contract and only as needed:

• PayPro Global — payment processing and invoicing.
• Postmark — transactional email delivery (receipts, password resets).
• Our verification infrastructure — the servers that perform SMTP/DNS checks on the addresses you submit.
• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers.

4. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Uploaded lists and verification results are retained so you can access them, and are deleted on request or when you delete the list/account, subject to backups expiring on a rolling basis.

5. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least‑privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your data and will notify you of a breach affecting your personal data as required by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data‑protection authority.

7. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
